In April 2019 we were asked to consider accepting the position as lead pastors at a local church in Japan! This opportunity is a dream come true because we have had a heart for missions in Japan since 2012. Japan struggles with spiritual battles such as depression and suicide. The message of Christ brings hope through His love to these struggles. We want to help the Japanese people become whole and complete, the way God designed them to be. Through sharing the hope of Christ’s salvation, we will help them develop personally, morally, and spiritually, resulting in great marriages and families, and a positive impact on the next generation.

Our Mission

Our focus will be on establishing the local church firmer in the faith, equipping the body to disciple the next generation of believers, and evangelizing in our city, sharing the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Our Assignment

We will be serving Munakata Bethel Christian Center (MBCC) initially as "Pastors-in-training" as licensed missionaries through Bethel Fellowship International. Founded in 1983, MBCC is a church plant of about 60 people; primarily Japanese with some international attendance. We will be trained and developed by the founders of the church, Nils and Andrea Olson who have been in Japan 40 plus years. The church is in the city of Munakata which is in the Fukuoka Prefecture on the island of Kyushu, Japan's southernmost main island with a population of about 96,000 and growing.
